Artist Nanchok Chol’s photography exhibition She Will honours and pays homage to women from the South Sudanese community across Victoria.
She Will draws inspiration from digital archives that date back to 10+ years, showing women that have contributed to the growth of the South Sudanese community within the Western Metropolitan Region. The intention behind this project is to give space for these women to share their stories of navigating Australia as refugees, amplifying identities, culture and sharing wisdom. This project aims to be a continuation of digital archives in capturing people, stories, communities and aims to give a new interpretation of the past, future and present. She Will incorporates 10 visual photographs of the women within the South Sudanese community and a 30-40 minute film of interviews.
