Sarah Jones is a writer and curator based in Geelong/Djilang. Her research-based practice proposes publishing-as-process. Sarah holds a Master’s degree from the Dutch Art Institute (NL) and a PhD from UNSW School of Art & Design. Sarah has undertaken research residencies at Banská St A Nica Contemporary (SK), The Meetfactory (CZ), and ACC Galerie (GER) 2016/15. In 2015, she presented at the ‘Transversal Practices: Matter, Ecology and Relationality – VI International Conference on New Materialisms’ (AUS) as well as the ‘Work and Art Symposium’ at UCA Canterbury (UK). Sarah performed with artist Anna Dasović at the NOA Language School at the Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam (NL, 2013); and attended the TAAK Marfa Summer Residency Program, Marfa, Texas (US, 2013/14). She was the 2012 recipient of the Alcorso Foundation Italian Arts Residency for curatorial research, working with artists at the Bevilaqua La Masa Foundation, Venice (IT).

Sarah has worked as an independent curator for over 10 years, exhibition partners include: Haus of VoVo (Tas, AU); Third Space Gallery + Digital (Vic, AU); Contemporary Art Tasmania (Tas, AU); AIRspace projects (NSW, AU); Dutch Art Institute (NL); Sawtooth (Tas, AU); Death Be Kind (Vic, AU); CAST Gallery (Tas, AU); Criterion Gallery (Tas, AU); Plimsoll Gallery University of Tasmania (Tas, AU). Sarah is currently a curator at Platform Arts and leads the organisation's artist publishing initiative Public Platform.
