THE UNLEARNING is a new live contemporary performance work delving into self-identity, masculinity, and intimacy.

THE UNLEARNING follows a performer through a journey of self-reflection, whilst traversing through societal structures of masculinity, acknowledging the jarring rigidity of traditional masculine ideologies. Beginning to ponder the relationship with himself, He commences exploring intimacy and a memory for his body, constantly reassessing and tending to his relationship with his physical body above all else.

Taking place in a landscape occupied by mirrors, lights and an ambient soundscape which progressively builds, Platform LAB alumnus Adrien Tucker and his collaborators have created the perfect haven to enable this interaction and self-reflection. The audience will find themselves in an unconventional arrangement, equally sharing in this experience through performative engagement.
