From broken glass to soft grass, writing has the power to transform. Whether poetry, prose, fiction or nonfiction, the way we arrange words on a page and in speech carries an intent and that intent shifts our focus.
Do you write? Do you wish you could write? Do you stumble for the words? Do you get blocked? Do you wonder what on earth to write about? This workshop is for you; an opportunity to delve into the power you have within yourself to transform the world around you with words. There will be an opportunity to share your work but it's not compulsory, and even if you leave having written nothing at all, this workshop will offer you some tools to keep working any time, anywhere.
Facilitated by Tom Allen, this session is ideal for beginners, and anyone who appreciates a new perspective. Please note, this event is only for individuals 18+
This workshop runs concurrently with Michaela McHugh's exhibition in Gallery Two ‘broken glass; soft grass,’ showing until 29 July.
