Platform Arts is inviting artists to submit expressions of interest for our 2023 creative program. There are four separate program opportunities to apply for: LAB, YOOKAPA, Performance Program, and Public Programs.

YOOKAPA is a newly-launched First Nations program, curated by Gunditjmara Keerray Woorroong artist Tarryn Love and supported by a First Nations advisory board. Artists and collectives who are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander are invited to submit an expression of interest to be part of 2023 YOOKAPA programs.

YOOKAPA supports First Nations artists to grow their professional practice and contribute to contemporary First Nations dialogues. YOOKAPA provides artists with time, money, space, tailored mentorship, group intensives and presentation opportunities, as well as in-house technical, producing, and marketing support.

This expression of interest is brief; we ask that you introduce yourself and your practice. We encourage artists to pitch any projects, collaborations or ideas but this is optional and not required in order to be part of YOOKAPA.

Anyone aged over 15 years and based in Victoria may apply. Applicants for YOOKAPA are also encouraged to apply for other program opportunities at Platform.

For questions and enquiries, please contact YOOKAPA Curator Tarryn Love tarryn@platformarts.org.au. Artists may apply via the form linked on this page, or request an alternative submission process via hello@platformarts.org.au.
