A groundbreaking installation where art meets science on the shores of Geelong.
Engage your senses in this unique honey-tasting and beeswax candle-making experience. Learn about the gentle art of beekeeping and why bees are important to our ecosystem.
During this interactive and educational workshop, we’ll learn about different types of native bees, how honey is harvested, and why bees are vital to our environment and the food we eat. We'll enjoy a delicious honey tasting, a beekeeper Q & A, and finish by hand-rolling our own beeswax candle to take home.
This workshop will take you on a sweet journey through the fascinating world of bees.
This special event coincides with the closing party of our Sympoiesis exhibition in Gallery One. This celebration will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. We’d love for you to be a part of this exciting evening!
This is a free workshop. Bookings are essential.
PLEASE NOTE: Workshop includes a variety of hands-on materials & educational resources. Due to allergy risks, no live bees will be brought to the workshop.
