Join artists Samantha Taylor and Lucy Allinson in Gallery One for a facilitated artist convo and critique of studio practice.
Studio Crits offers space for local practitioners to discuss, analyse, and reflect upon their individual creative practices in a warm, nurturing environment.
The definition of ‘creative practice‘ is open-ended—it may be an artwork in progress, an exhibition you wish to review, a book you’re struggling to comprehend, a piece of writing that doesn’t flow, or you want to have a general conversation about your practice. Simply put, Sam and Lucy provide the space and a cuppa; you provide the content and conversation.
Both Sam and Lucy are Platform LAB alumni and maintain a studio practice in Djilang/Geelong. They meet regularly to host artist critique sessions, and they've generously opened the September session to the G21 arts community, as part of the After Walter Hopps public program.
Register for free, and come along to discuss some of the works included in our After Walter Hopps exhibition and connect with your local arts community.
About After Walter Hopps:
Running from AUG 12—SEP 20, this open-call community exhibition invites artists from Geelong, Surf Coast, Bellarine, and other G21 regions to bring in new or existing artworks to exhibit on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information on the exhibition, public events, or how to get involved as an artist, please visit our After Walter Hopps webpage.
