Are you a visual artist or collective looking to branch into gallery installation? Have you been invited to exhibit in a space but are expected to install your own work?
Join Lucy Allinson for a workshop designed to demystify the role of the gallery technician, offering key advice on displaying your work to industry standards. Packed with information on equipment, logistics, and protocols, this session is perfect for artists looking to transform a space into an exhibition.
If you're planning to submit a work to After Walter Hopps, bring it in—Lucy might be able to use it in the practical demonstration part of the workshop.

Lucy Allinson is a multi-disciplinary artist working across sound, installation, painting, sculpture and photography. She graduated from Monash University in 2018 in Fine Arts and graduated from RMIT with an Honours in Sound Art in 2019.
During those years she volunteered at Monash University Museum of Art and gained experience and knowledge before adventuring into the art world. In 2021 she undertook a seven month art residency at Platform Arts and started work at Geelong Gallery early that year, within the Visitor Services Team and as a Gallery Technician, now holding the same position at Platform Arts. Lucy is also an experienced interior painter and gallery technician working at places such as the Wool Museum, other galleries and in private properties and spaces.
