Platform Arts works with artists and creative practitioners across all disciplines to develop and sustain rigorous and critical artistic practice, and to test and present new experimental and contemporary works to regional and national audiences.

We are seeking proposals to present an original work or exhibition with Platform Arts between 12 October - 16 November, 2024. 

Before you apply, please download the Application Guidelines to ensure your application responds to Platform Arts’ artistic vision. Please note, while this opportunity is open to applicants from interstate or overseas, artists will need to source their own funding for travel, accommodation and freight of works.

WHAT WE OFFER:

GALLERY

  • $5000, which includes funds for artist fees, materials & other production costs

  • Auspicing and application support to seek additional funding

  • Gallery install staff (16 hrs, 2 days of install)

  • Front of House staff for exhibition opening and public programs

  • Curatorial support from Dec 2023-Oct 2024, including studio visits & regular check-ins

  • Access to in-house Platform Arts equipment (refer to gallery tech specs document)

  • Support for marketing, promotion and publicity

  • Photo documentation

PERFORMANCE

  • $5000 presenter fee

  • Co-presentation of a season at Platform Arts

  • Auspicing and application support to seek additional funding

  • Co-producing support from Platform staff

  • Technical & FOH support staff (up to 30 hrs across bump-in, tech run and season) 

  • Up to 8 weeks of rehearsal & development time in the Platform Arts Rehearsal & Performance Spaces from Jan-Oct 2024

  • Access to in-house Platform Arts equipment (please refer to tech specs document)

  • Support for marketing, promotion and publicity

  • Photo documentation
